Blackeyed Peas

Blackeyed Peas? No I do not like to eat blackeyed peas. Although, I do hear that they bring good luck or something like that if you eat them on New Years Eve. Maybe, this year I will try it. Or not. I’m not a big pea fan. Too mushy, maybe my mom made me eat them to much when I was little.

Anyway, I’m talking about the Blackeyed Peas, the band. If ‘yall haven’t heard any of their songs, you probably live in a cave and you should go out and buy one of their singles or something. This band is awesome. I’m not even sure how I started listening to them. I remember going to Déjà Vu in Columbia and hearing Let’s Get Retarded and thinking to myself, that’s not nice. But the song was so catchy that I liked dancing to it, and got excited every time I would hear it. But I didn’t know at the time the Blackeyed Peas had sang it. I remember hearing their name from a friend when I first started college, she loved them. But, I never thought twice about them because her taste in music was kind of weird. Anyway, somehow I discovered the Peas and am glad I did. Although, I haven’t really listened to much of their old stuff, hopefully I will be able to sometime this summer. I haven’t had the opportunity to see them in concert yet. I had a chance to go last summer, but my family was having a family reunion the weekend they were in town. Guess what, the concert was free, it was at the Fair St. Louis! And I missed it! Gotta luv family though! Some of my favorite BEP songs are:
